System Audits
Kleissler-PC conducts performance audits of existing dust containment or process air systems and equipment.
The audit includes:
- An evaluation of the system's performance against specific parameters such as system static pressure, horsepower usage, velocities at various points, and the amount of air handled at control
locations
- An inspection of the physical condition of the system, to include checks for clogs, mechanical wear, structural defects, excessive vibration, etc.
- A review of production changes (e. g., new ingredients, speed changes, new equipment, etc.) or modifications to the air system since its installation or last audit.
- An evaluation of how the system is being used, which should indicate the general understanding of the system by the operators and other personnel
- Observations of flow patterns
- A written audit report outlining findings and stating corrections that should be considered
Testing (Personal Sampling)
Kleissler-PC performs air and dust level testing in the area of an application process. This might be done prior
to installation of a dust control system in order to understand the magnitude of a problem or after a dust control
system is installed in order to show the effectiveness of the system.
A test protocol is developed with the industrial hygienist. Personnel or area sampling may be performed.
Kleissler-PC provides the customer with a testing report which includes a detailed description of the testing procedure followed as well as a display and analysis of the
results of the testing.
Training and Education
Kleissler P C, LLC conducts training and education sessions. Regardless of whether it is training for a specific
dust control system or an education session in dust containment issues in general, Kleissler-PC has the expertise.
Airflow Modeling
Kleissler-PC provides Computer Airflow Modeling Services. These Computer Fluid Dynamic (CFD) simulations can be powerful tools in understanding airflow conditions and dust containment systems - actual or
proposed. Our engineers have the capability to effectively interpret the results. It is a tool used by KPC in development of new and innovative designs in dust containment.
